Easter goodies in Brisbane

Easter is just around corner which means plenty of extra days for socialise and relax. Here, Queensland Pride rounds up the top events this Easter at your favourite gay venue. Compiled by Anthony Smith.

THE SPORTSMAN HOTEL

The Sportsman Hotel has a massive line up over the Easter long weekend to keep you entertained. Friday, April 6, opens with a special performance entitled 'Fierce Friday'.

Saturday, April 7 upstairs at 'Sporties' features the latest Gavin Anthony's show extravaganza 'Peep Show'. You can book tables to see the show and there is no cover charge. Downstairs from 8pm those sexy BootCo. boys are celebrating Easter in their own special way with their Kink party, be sure to go down and see some interesting shows onstage and have a dance with the men.

Sunday night, April 8 is Mr Sportsman Hotel. Hosted by Wanda De Park, entry to the competition is still open so see the bar staff for more information. Downstairs those naughty boys at BootCo. are having a White Wolf After Party so you can continue on into the wee hours of the morning.

THE WICKHAM HOTEL

The Wickham Hotel, whilst closed on Good Friday, will be business as usual over the rest of the Easter break with some great entertainment lined up. Saturday, April 7 features a special doll house themed show called 'Toy Box' featuring Taylorette and the ID Studio Dancer with some amazing costumes.

Easter Sunday Skool on April 8 will kick off at 4pm with DJs out in the palm garden, perfect chill out session or warm up beverage before the public holiday party madness.

FLUFFY

The next instalment of GLAM at Fluffy on April 8 Easter Sunday looks to be huge. Fluffy welcomes back Australian singing diva Zoe Badwi who will be performing alongside Grant Smillie, one of the most in-demand DJ's right now.

Also expect sets from Fluffy Residents Harry K and Karma to keep you dancing.

The fire-themed show for the night by Australia's most loved showgirl Decoda Secret will blow you away, while the top floor of Fluffy will be getting the Kitty Glitter treatment with special guest DJ Ish.

THE BEAT

The Beat Mega Club have a massive Easter Sunday Fun Day planed from 5pm until 5am. With free finger food, the fantastic free Beat barbecue and games plus shows every hour its set to be a massive night and some of the best value in town.

Get in early and you might win the Beat's Big Jackpot Draw, and all early customers get chocolate Easter eggs — yum!
