SYDNEY: Porn star Jessy Ares will heat up underwear party RezErection, which is being held over two big nights, writes Daniel Chamberlain.

In the world of gay porn, there are a few qualities which will guarantee you a clear pathway to the top. Aside from the obvious, versatility is definitely one of them. And we’re not just talking about versatility in the bedroom; rather, the ability to nurture and showcase one’s talents. And so it is with acrobat turned model turned international porn star Jessy Ares, who is heading to Australia for the first time as the special guest star at RezErection.  

An annual highlight during the Mardi Gras festivities, RezErection leaves little to the imagination by putting everything else on show. Put simply, it’s Gay Sydney’s most popular men-only underwear party. Such is its continuing success that this Mardi Gras period, organizer will be hosting not one – but two – RezErection parties due to popular demand.

The two nights will feature two different themes: Rezerection: Touch Down on Sunday, February 24, is inspired by every gay man’s locker-room fantasy, while Rezerection: Cell Block 13 on Thursday, February 28, takes its cue from dark and dirty prisons.

Jessy tells SX that he can’t wait to get down to his jocks and have some fun with Sydney partygoers.

Renowned for his signature physique and prowess, Jessy first got a taste of the spotlight during a stint in acrobatic school before becoming a model. During this time, he also explored his musical side, an area where his true passion lies. But soon after, the world of porn beckoned and Jessy hasn’t looked back since.

“I used to work as a model for print and runway because I thought it would give me the time and money to finance my ambitions with music. I made a living with it but it didn’t pay enough to reach my plans,” he says. “That is where porn came in!”

Fast-forward to 2013 and Jessy has become one of the biggest names in the adult industry. Appearing in over 50 movies, he is now a well-seasoned adult performer with an ever-growing following.

Jessy now plans to use his popularity to help launch a career in music and the arts.  

“[Being in porn] let me build a fan base, which I knew would be of advantage to reach my goal with music,” he says.

“Hopefully one day, I will be able to turn my porn, music and acrobatics into one show for you all.”
