When Wayne Nicol opened Sax Fetish on Oxford Street in 1999, there were seven other leather and fetish stores. Today, he remains the only one. Some may argue that this is due to the changing nature of retailing with the shift from bricks and mortar to online trading. But the decline of Oxford Street certainly played a major part.
