The gay and lesbian community do not always live in the inner suburbs of our capital cities, or the ‘gay ghetto’ as it is often called.
With greater acceptance from mainstream society our community sometimes moves further afield, not only into suburbia but also into rural areas. Our online sites are a way for our community to access the latest news and information when they can’t pick up a magazine. Likewise, bisexual members of our community would rather gather their information on products and services online rather than from our magazines.
In March 2010, Evolution Publishing revamped and relaunched our existing sites as part of the Gay News Network - a conglomerate of websites aimed towards the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities across Australia. Gay News Network is focused on complementing the strong foundation already established by our print publications; to further engage our readers and attract a new audience with additional online content tailored specifically for the web.
Gay News Network draws on a large list of photographers, designers, guest contributors, journalists and editors from around the country to inform and entertain. No other network of websites informs or entertains Australia's GLBTQI community like we can, and it's all free.
